WOULD YOU OR YOUR
COMPANY LIKE TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP A NEW ENTREPRENEUR START A MICRO BUSINESS
IN HERTFORDSHIRE?
1. Worknet is working with the Business School of the University of Hertfordshire
to run a program to help potential entrepreneurs to start-up and run a
micro business.
2. All businesses are supported by a volunteer mentor for the first 6
months of their life.
3. We are looking for business people with at least 2/3 years experience
to devote 2/3 hours a month to help a start-up business.
4. A previous project at the University has shown that mentoring can
strongly influence business survival.
5. Most people who have acted as mentors have enjoyed the experience
and improved their management skills. Volunteers will be invited to a
1 day training workshop free of charge, and receive out of pocket expenses.
If this worthwhile project seems of interest to you or your company,
please contact Sidney Golding at Worknet so that a meeting can be arranged
to discuss the matter in further detail.
